Diabetic Footcare

People with diabetes are far more likely to develop complications such as foot ulcers. Research shows that people with diabetes who take care of their feet and protect them from injury, are less likely to develop ulcers.

It is recommended you see a Foot health Practitioner twice a year for a foot health check which includes vascular and neurological assessments.

If you cannot see very well, then get someone else to cut your nails.

If you see a break in the skin which is not healing or an ulcer, see your G.P. immediately.

The right footwear and socks are important for diabetics. I stock a range of Dr Comfort footwear and diabetic socks

Contact us for a consultation in our Lymington surgery for a foot health check specially designed for those with diabetes.
